Snow, Snow, Snow

It is the end of March and it is snowing today. I want spring to be here for more than a couple of days. Now, we are back to winter so I guess that March came in like a lion and might leave as a lion. Oh well, what can you do when you live in Utah and this is how spring is every year.
Other than the weather, life is going good. Ryan and I went to see Vantage Point last night. It was a pretty good movie. Mostly, I wanted to go to the movies so that I could get popcorn. Movie popcorn is the best. We also went to SLC yesterday because Ashley had to go to the Church History Museum so we went along with Laura. It was a fun afternoon. After the museum, we went shopping for clothes to wear for our engagement photos. We are taking them in 2 weeks. So all in all we had a really fun day yesterday.

Much needed day off

Today, I am taking the day off because I am in need of a break. Actually, I have to go have my pre-dental exam for getting my wisdom teeth out. So I figure I would take the day off and get some other things done today.
Well, the wedding plans are coming right along. We are now getting to all of the small things since most of the big things are planned. We had a chance to see the backyard plans for my aunt and uncle's house so we could start to think what we want the reception site to look like. We are also working getting all the addresses together.
Other than the wedding plans, we are busy finishing out the school year. Ryan has just a couple weeks left before finals and then he will have a much needed break before he starts spring term. I have a 2 and 1/2 weeks before spring break. So the next few weeks will be busy.

Here are some of the pictures that we took when we went to reenact the engagement day. Thanks Ashley and Laura for coming to take the pictures.

100 Days to go...

Well, there are 100 days until the BIG DAY! This is good and not so good for many reasons. I am sure why everyone knows that it is a good thing. Who does not their wedding to come fast but not so good because there is still a lot to do. My older sister, Vanessa, came over on Sunday and remind me of many little details that I have not even thought about. So while most of the big things are planned for the big day, there are still a lot of little things to do. At the same time, 100 days is still a lot of time to get things done. I have every Saturday planned with things that need to get done up until the Saturday before the wedding. I know that everything will get done but I still feel the stress.

Anyway, I am very excited that tomorrow is the first day of spring. Hopefully, that means that most of the bad weather is gone until next winter. I really like spring because it is not to hot but not to cold and it just seems like a happy time. It also gives me a feeling of a new beginning. Also, it means that school is getting close to the end. 2 months left to go. I hope that everyone enjoys the first day of spring. It is a good time of the year.

If Life Was Like a Basketball Game

Natalie and I remain busy with school and work. It sometimes it seems like it just never ends! Earlier today I was thinking about how I wish life was like a basketball game. It is hard work and you have fun at the same time, but mostly I think it would be neat if during the day you could put up the T (time out sign with your hands) and everyone would stop and you could take a nap or spend extra time with someone or eat an orange slice. How amazingly nice would that be! And at the end of the day (game) you get to be throw down a caprisan or two and spend time with who you love the most. Maybe this doesn't make too much sense, but I don't think anyone can argue with a caprisan and good company. Until next time ...

Middle of the week

I try to post at least once a week to keep people up to date on our lives. So here goes, I have been struggling with teaching division for about the last two weeks. I have tried every way I can think of to teach the kids how to do long division. It is been the hardest thing to teach this year. Now, you have to know that the students came to me not ready for the 4th grade. Last years, third grade teachers did not do the best job except one and you can tell which ones came from that class. Anyway, I have tried this year to teach both third grade and fourth grade to the best of my ability. With only 3 months until the end of the year, I always feel that I have gotten nothing done this year and I put myself under a lot of stress to get everything done. I have a really good class this year and hope that I have done enough to get them ready for the end of the year test and more importantly ready for life.
Beside school, my other half of my life is getting ready for my wedding. Plans are coming along. The next big thing to work on is our wedding announcements. I am trying to find time to look over the different types and pick one that I like. I hope to have this done by Saturday so that we can let Meredith know what we want. In case you do not know, Meredith, Ryan's sister in law, is doing our wedding announcements for us. She does a really good job.
Other than school and wedding planning, I do not know have much time for anything else. Ryan and I are both staying really busy and look forward to the summer months when we will have more time to see each other.

Some Progress...

So for all those who are just not connected, Natalie and I are trying to get things arranged so that we can be married on the 27th of June. (Short reminder for all those who already know!) So we finally found a place to call home once we are married. If all works out, Natalie will move into the basement apt. right after this semester. So I am pretty satisfied because now "my part" is "done."
Short story of Natalie and Ryan this week: School is hectic, work is crazy, less than 4 months till the big day, and we are very happy!
