Carter is 2 months old today. He had his first set of shots at the doctor's office. He has had two hard days but is doing well. Height: 22.5in Weight: 10lb 12 oz with casts; 10lb 4oz without casts Head: 38cm
Carter was born with club feet meaning that his feet were turned in facing each other. He has been in casts since the 4th day of his life. Our doctor, Dr. Faux, uses the Ponseti Method to help child with club feet. Carter had his 8th set of casts taken off today and had a Tenotomy done which is the releasing of the Achilles tendon. He will now be in casts for two weeks and then will have to wear special shoes for the next three months. After that, he will only wear his shoes at night and during naps. The day he was born: Today:
On Friday, we went to This is the Place park with some family. We were able to ride the train, see houses, and make crafts. It was a fun time with family. Carter enjoys being outside.
Ryan and I have been married for 2 years today. I love him more today than I did two years ago and even more now that we have Carter. Yesterday, we went to dinner at Mimi's Cafe, then we bought a couple of movies, and then a caramel apple. It was a very nice evening.
Last Monday night, we went to Thanksgiving point with Vanessa, Mike, Laura, and Miriam for FHE. It was farm night. We saw lots of different animals and enjoyed the nice weather.
Last Sunday, we blessed Carter. It was a great day with bad weather. We were able to have so many family members there with us to share in Carter's special day.
