7 months

Carter is a growing boy. I can not believe that it has been 7 months since he came into our lives. Here are some things that Carter is doing:
1. sitting by himself
2. eating 3 meals of baby food a day
3. wanting to crawl but can not because of his casts
4. gets on his tummy and moves backwards
5. loves to talk to everyone
6. loves living with Eric and Devon (my brothers)
7. looking more like his dad each day

PS Carter is having his surgery tomorrow morning at 8:30.

Thanksgiving

This year for we spent Thanksgiving in Midway with Ryan's family. We had lots of yummy food, played games, did some shopping, and watched movies. Carter loved the mashed potatoes. It was a very nice weekend.

Blue Casts

Carter had casts put on yesterday. These are to loosen his feet to prepare for his surgery next Wednesday. He is doing pretty good with them so far. We had to get blue ones because BYU is playing Utah this Saturday.

News about Carter's feet

Carter was not suppose to go back to his foot doctor until January but because of our move to Layton, we had to change doctors. We decided that I should take Carter soon to the new doctor because he has been kicking off his shoes every night.
So yesterday, we took Carter to see Dr. Stotts at Primary Children's Hospital where we received some news. Carter's heel bone is not in it's proper place. It is higher up then it is suppose to be. So Carter will be having surgery on December 1st (is the plan) to release his tendons again and help the heel bone move down. He will be in casts starting Monday to help loose up his feet and then he will be in casts for 4 weeks after the surgery. After that, Carter will get different shoes to wear at night that are better for him.
We are grateful to Carter former doctor for all he did for Carter's feet. We are also grateful for modern medicine that will help Carter to have normal, healthy feet. Please keep Carter in your thoughts and prayers for the next few weeks that everything will go okay and he will heal quickly.

Football Game

Yesterday, we went to the BYU football game. It was very nice weather for a November game and we won!

Playing with toys

Carter can now sit and play with toys. He loves to pull all the toys out of the basket.
