Star Patient
Before
After
This morning Carter had his surgery. Everything went great. The nurse told us that he was a star patient because he was so easy to deal with when he woke up. Most babies have a hard time waking after being put to sleep but Carter woke up with a smile on his face. He did not have any problems eating or playing after being woken up. We are grateful that everything went well and that Carter happy baby.

News about Carter's feet
Carter was not suppose to go back to his foot doctor until January but because of our move to Layton, we had to change doctors. We decided that I should take Carter soon to the new doctor because he has been kicking off his shoes every night.
So yesterday, we took Carter to see Dr. Stotts at Primary Children's Hospital where we received some news. Carter's heel bone is not in it's proper place. It is higher up then it is suppose to be. So Carter will be having surgery on December 1st (is the plan) to release his tendons again and help the heel bone move down. He will be in casts starting Monday to help loose up his feet and then he will be in casts for 4 weeks after the surgery. After that, Carter will get different shoes to wear at night that are better for him.
We are grateful to Carter former doctor for all he did for Carter's feet. We are also grateful for modern medicine that will help Carter to have normal, healthy feet. Please keep Carter in your thoughts and prayers for the next few weeks that everything will go okay and he will heal quickly.
