When it rains, it pours

Carter has been through a lot this month. Carter woke up this morning with hives all over his body. He is allergic to penicillin. He has been itching all day but still has a smile on his face.

Carter's First Christmas

Carter took a 2 1/2 hour nap during the present opening. He had to open his presents later in the day. He was able to open his presents with a little bit of help. He had a great first Christmas.

Poor Baby

Carter has had a cold for about 8 days. Yesterday morning, he woke up with a fever. So last night, we took him to the doctor. The doctor could not see into his ear canal but his throat was red so he gave us some antibiotics. He still has a fever so we are hoping that he gets over most of the illness before Christmas.

New Shoes and Happy Feet

This morning, Carter was able to get this casts off. He is now back into his shoes all day and all night at least for the next six weeks. His feet are looking pretty good. He is happy to have his feet back.

Star Patient

Before

After
This morning Carter had his surgery. Everything went great. The nurse told us that he was a star patient because he was so easy to deal with when he woke up. Most babies have a hard time waking after being put to sleep but Carter woke up with a smile on his face. He did not have any problems eating or playing after being woken up. We are grateful that everything went well and that Carter happy baby.
