How to be Christlike when...
So I took the day off today to go to the doctor and I was so glad that I would not have to hear an alarm at 6:00am. So instead of the alarm waking me up, it was the neighbor upstairs playing very loud music. It made me so mad. Then for some reason, I thought to myself, "How do you be love your neighbor when they wake you up on your day off?" I do not know the answer!
Baby Shower #2
I had my work baby shower yesterday after school. It was a combined shower with Carly. She is having a little girl in July. My fellow 4th grade teachers and Becky put the whole thing together. The students are the ones who made the hearts on the wall. It was a fun afternoon. Thanks for party and gifts.

Baby Shower #1
Yesterday, I had a baby shower with my family and friends. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to all the came and a big thanks to my sisters and mom who put it together.

How the Prenatal Class actually went...
So, I thought it might be interesting to get my take on the pre-natal class that we went to yesturday in preparation for our boy.
I thought it might be useful to go so that come the time that Natalie says, "ahhhh, Ryan he is coming1" that I would actually know where to take her at the hospital. So we went to the class from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM (with a short lunch break). A good portion of the class was centered on seeing a movie on the epidural needle (wow!), talking about normal pregnant symptyms, and then watching a movie on birth with not one, or two, but FOUR women. Holy too much information. I was planning on closing my eyes and holding my breath during our own babies birth, how was this going to be helpful to me?
The last 5-8 minutes of the class was a slide show tour of where I would need to take Natalie and where the baby would go after birth. We didn't even get a real tour to go and walk around. Come to find out, I could have accessed this same "tour" online and I didn't have to go to the class for 5 hours.
In retrospect, I understand that it is important for me to be sensitive to Natalie and what she is going through. I did learn a lot about different things that I did not know before (and other useful things such as where to look for a barf bag in Natalie's room) and I think that both Natalie and I feel a little more prepared for the big day.

Who does not love weekends?
Ryan and I had a nice weekend. On Friday, I came home at lunch time because of doctor's appointment. Our little boy is doing great. Then we relaxed in the evening.
On Saturday, Ryan and I went to a prenatal class at the hospital. It was good class so now we know where we are going and what will happen at the hospital while we are there. We also went to Rachel and Ryan's house for dinner and then we went to Vanessa and Mike's house for dessert to celebrate Laura's 25 birthday.
Today, we did get up on time with one hour less of sleep and Ryan sang in church with 3 other men from our ward. They did a really nice job.

Long Weekend
I had Friday off of work so I was able to get some more rest and I have finally gotten over my cold. We also attend the BYU Men's Volleyball game with my siblings. On Saturday, I went with my sister Laura to get her eyes rechecked. Then we had my younger siblings over to watch the last BYU basketball game of the season and have dinner. Today, we had Stake Conference whichs means I got to sleep in while Ryan attended a early meeting. It was a relaxing weekend which is what I needed.
