Baby Boy
Have you ever seen or heard of those show "I did not know I was pregnant?" Well, I used to think that those people were nuts and I could not believe that women would not know until now.
Why you may ask? Because I did not know I was pregnant until a few weeks ago. Here is the timeline:
Mid-February: I noticed that I was starting to gain weight in my belly. I was mad because I was trying to exercise and eat right.
First Part of March: In the back of my mind something was telling me to take a pregnancy test but I told myself that was crazy and I could not be (Ryan left in October for deployment)
Most of March: I started gaining more belly weight and started to have back pain (which I get when I am pregnant) and still I kept telling myself that I could not be pregnant.
Finally, March 27th: I took the pregnancy test and it was positive
March 31st: Went to the doctor to have them do a pregnancy test just to make sure and it was positive
April 7th: First OB appointment, it which we found out that we are having a little boy due July 23rd
So, how did I not know, I did not have any morning sickness with this baby and my doctor told me it was because I was nursing Lily. I started to feel this little guy move about the second week of March but I told myself that it was something else. When you keep telling yourself that something is not possible then you can explain away anything.
Funny thing about it all is that Carter has been talking about having a little brother for about the last 6 months so I guess he knew all along.
So the moral of the story is never say never when you think that something could never happen to you.
In the end, it does not matter how it all came to be but that we are blessed to be having another baby in 14 weeks.
